About the Holiday Club
The Strong Roots Holiday Club caters for Primary School age children (4-11 year olds), and activities run from 9.00 until 4.00. (The earliest we accept children is in the summer holiday before they start in Reception).
We are outside all day, so children should be dressed accordingly with suitable footwear for climbing, kicking, exploring and splashing.
Sunhats and sunscreen in the summer. Warm coats and hats in the winter. Waterproof coats and Wellies in the rain ………….. You get the picture – Just don’t expect them to go home as clean as when they arrive.
Activities are planned according to the ages of the children joining in.
- Building projects using stick, logs and ropes.
- Art Projects using natural treasures, indoors and outdoors.
- Open ended play.
- Games that promote friendship, team work and respect.

Important note regarding bookings
Please take note – Once Invoices are sent out, spaces are booked.
Previously, we have been very generous with letting people pay late . We have a good relationship with our customers, and we have been generous with our trust.
Unfortunately, this has come back and bitten us too many times now. We have had children not turn up on the day, and then overheard that the parents have said ‘It doesn’t matter, we hadn’t paid’. Not only does that mean that Strong Roots Ltd are out of pocket, it also means that Children that wanted to come have been turned away.
If you don’t need your spaces, please do us, and other parents, the courtesy of cancelling properly.
As from February 2023, all invoices will be payable within one month. Bookings not paid for by the due date will be cancelled.

Session Times & Fees
- Holiday Club Activities (9.00 – 4.00). The Holiday Club activities run during this time and we will break for lunch 12.00 – 1.00. Children will need to bring a healthy packed lunch (No nuts, fizzy drinks or glass bottles please).
- £38 per child per day
Where is the Holiday Club?
We run from the woodland and open field adjacent to ‘Chantry Island’ within the grounds of the All Saints Centre in London Colney. Ahead of your first session, you will receive instruction on where to park and how to find us..
